That just happened when Florida death metal band Dark Sermon
released a new single/lyric video for "Imperfect Contrition" from their
upcoming album "In Tongues" on Tuesday.
I was supposed to see them play in Buffalo so I figured I would check them out and I'm so glad I did. The instrumentals take on a human like role as they contribute to the emotional lyrics of the song. You can feel the relentless aggression cutting through your soul. That is, if you have one.
Dark
Sermon have elements of bands such as Black Dahlia Murder but take
the initiative to experiment and develop a sound of their own.
Regardless, "Imperfect Contrition" will be on repeat for a few days.
"In Tongues" will be released March 26 in the US and
April 12 in Europe through eOne/Nuclear Blast records. You can pre-order
