I might just end up going to this one. It's an prog super show featuring instrumental beasts Scale The Summit along with the jazzy Trioscapes (Dan of Between The Buried And Me's side project). They well be headed from Ontario down to North Carolina. If you enjoy progressive metal and appreciate musicianship, this is a great show for you. Trioscapes is an insanely original band blending Jazz Fusion with Metal in a way thats never been done before. Featuring Between The Buried And Me's Dan Briggs on bass with Walter Fancourt on saxophone/flute and drummer Matt Lynch, the band put out their debut release "Separate Realities" a few months back on Metal Blade Records. They just posted a new video of an awesome live jam session for the track "Curse of the Ninth" off that album. If you dig originality and all that jazz, you should seriously give Trioscapes a listen. Also, you can catch these guys on tour with Scale The Summit on the dates listed below the video.
