IMPENDING DOOM "DOOMSDAY" MUSIC VIDEO

There is new a new doom hitting the scene this November with the return of Christian heavy metal artists Impending Doom through their 5th studio album "Death Will Reign." This album was recorded, produced and mixed by musical genius of Will Putney (Fit For An Autopsy, Thy Art Is Murder, Upon A Burning Body, etc.) at the Machine Shop. If the thought of the penetrating brutality that this record encapsulates does not quite get you all hot and bothered, perhaps Impending Doom's record label, eOne, can get your testosterone flowing and fuel your anticipation for this monster release by their declaration about the record which states, "Prepare yourselves for one of the heaviest records of 2013!"

The band just released a brand new music video for the track (theme song?), "Doomsday", in support of this. It is very damn heavy. The video compliments this well. Check it below along with the single / title track, "Death Will Reign".

“We wanted this album to sound very natural and unpolished,” explains longtime bassist David Sittig, a part of the lineup since before the first album’s release. “There’s no crazy digital stuff. There are no fake drums. We wanted it to have the feel of our first album with the songwriting from the last one. We’ve gotten better at song structures and so forth over the years, but we wanted to recapture that old-school vibe, too.”

THE WEEKEND MOSH IV

IMPENDING DOOM TEASE NEW MATERIAL

California based Christian metallers, Impending Doom, are currently working on their 5th full length release. They just teased some material on eOneMusicUS’s Youtube channel a short while ago.

The clip features a snippet of a yet unknown track off their upcoming, yet unnamed, album. While the clip comprises of barely 10-15 secs worth of good, solid, crushing Impending death metal, the album is tentatively set to see a November release. The band has reportedly been in and out of the studio with producer Will Putney (Like Moths to Flames, For Today), working on what would be the follow up to their March 2012 release “Baptized In Filth”, while playing dates off their Scream The Prayer tour alongside Wolves at The Gates, Gideon and others.

Religious inclinations aside, Impending Doom have always been a brute force to reckon with when it came to sick, bone-crushing grooves. And given this short and sweet taste of what’s yet to come, looks like the Riverside crew are set to release another batch of mosh-heavy anthems.

IMPENDING DOOM ENTER THE STUDIO

Impending Doom are officially recording a new album! As of this week, they've entered The Machine Shop to do some some damage in the studio. The record will be produced by Will Putney (also responsible for After The Burial, Thy Art Is Murder, Miss May I, Northlane, For Today, etc). Currently the band is aiming for a Summer release via eOne.

The bassist, David Sittig, had this to say, "The material is our best and heaviest work without a doubt. The chemistry between the five of us this time has been different and very unique. Our original guitarist Manny Contreras re-joined the band and we all could not be happier with what he has brought to the table. This is the Impending Doom album you have been waiting for!"

In other news, Impending doom will be covering a 9 date leg this summer with The Great Commission and The Overseer. It will run from Arizona to Pennsylvania starting in late June. Should be heavy \m/ Fun fact, Impending Doom is the only band I've seen that successfully made the whole crowd sit down... literally. 10 seconds later the mosh was insane.

THE UNSHAKEABLE TOUR

The tour might be unshakeable but let's see how the venues hold up. The pits at these shows will probably wreck places. Headliners For Today will take the stage with Texas In July, Impending  Doom, Hundreth, The Chariot, and Sleeping Giant. Watch the tour trailer and check the schedule if you plan on going.
