I'll be out of town until Wednesday but I didn't want to leave The Circle Pit hanging. So here's something I set up last week to kill all the memory left on your iPod.

We've helped promote a lot of free music over time. This is the cream of the crop. And it ranges from big bands to the deep underground. Click a link, any link. You may just find a new favorite. No matter what, you'll find free music and tunes available for the price of your choosing. All of these artists deserve support, so don't be afraid to throw some dollars if something really makes you happy.

FREE MUSIC MONDAY - THE NORTHERN

The Northern are an insanely good (and appropriately named) band hailing from Toronto. And they just seem to be getting better. They made ripples throughout the metal underground earlier this year with the release of their EP "Imperium". Now they're back and stronger than ever with a new single "Digitize" (featuring Kyle Anderson of The Afterimage).

The track brings together all kinds of awesome elements with the lining of superior production to what they've released previously. Check it out below! And if you enjoy the heaviness, take advantage of a "name your price" download on The Northern's official Bandcamp!

THE NORTHERN - "IMPERIUM" EP (FREE MUSIC)

Capitalize on the free music but do not judge a band by the price of their tunes! The Northern is almost certainly something you guys would enjoy. (unless you came to this site by accident). From Toronto, Ontario, The Northern passes down the "Imperium" EP. Gran it on Bandcamp.

The extra flashy guitar of "Imperium" makes for a dense 5-track helping. The EP as a whole is like stack of pancakes that Uncle Buck cooks up for Macaulay Culkin. The Northern serves us unique guitar solos between some awefully catchy riffs, made exponentially heavier under the brutal vox.
