I'll be out of town until Wednesday but I didn't want to leave The Circle Pit hanging. So here's something I set up last week to kill all the memory left on your iPod.

THIS IS THE FREE MUSIC MARATHON!

We've helped promote a lot of free music over time. This is the cream of the crop. And it ranges from big bands to the deep underground. Click a link, any link. You may just find a new favorite. No matter what, you'll find free music and tunes available for the price of your choosing. All of these artists deserve support, so don't be afraid to throw some dollars if something really makes you happy.

WARPED TOUR 2013 RECAP

We had one helluva time at Warped Tour this year. It was absolute madness from beginning to end with experiences a plenty. We did everything from covering insane live sets in front of thousands of people to meeting the man Kevin Lyman himself (owner and mastermind behind Warped Tour, Mayhem Festival, etc.). And that's barely even scratching the surface... We sincerely thank Warped Tour for the opportunity. They don't call it the best day ever for nothing.

Of course, being a metal site, we covered the heavy side of the show. We saw (in order) While She Sleeps, Letlive, The Amity Affliction, The Black Dahlia Murder, Volumes, Stick To Your Guns, Like Moths To Flames, Architects, and August Burns Red. We also had an interview with Jake Luhrs from August Burns Red for the sake of supporting his good cause Heartsupport. You can check out all the footage below.

Stay tuned for next year when the madness happens all over again! Also be sure to keep an eye out for additional concert / festival coverage from us (including Kevin's Mayhem Festival). Let's just say we've been busy these past few weeks...

VANS WARPED TOUR 2013 PREVIEW

Concert season has officially arrived! You know what that means North America... It's time for Vans Warped Tour! The events officially kick off TODAY. First stop is Seattle, Washington. Grab your tickets here!

This will be the tour's 19th year running and there's no sign of them slowing down. Warped Tour 2013 is moving full speed ahead, packing in well over 100 bands for the tour's duration and all kinds of ways to have fun. Warped Tour is more than a concert. It's a moving city of pure entertainment.

This year we'll be covering the heaviest bands they have. August Burns Red, The Black Dahlia Murder, Volumes, Upon A Burning Body, Texas In July, Architects, and more will be in our sights.

ARCHITECTS “BLACK BLOOD” SINGLE (FOR FREE!)

After the release of last year's beauty of an album “Daybreaker”, it looks like the UK's craziest metalcore unit, Architects, have been working hard on new material. Here's the proof, “Black Blood”. That's the name of their new song and it's another rumbling, crushing, intense track. With a melodic approach alongside the furious and explosive moments, they also feature their usual mathcore hints. It's a great new song promising more madness to be delivered sooner than later. And just to make it all the better, Architects have released "Black Blood" for FREE! Grab that greatness here.

This band is growing fast, making huge steps and reclaiming their role as one of the world's leading metalcore bands after a slump or two. Stay tuned for Architects! In the mean time check out the lyric video for the new single “Black Blood” and go insane to some of their previous material.

DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL 2013

The line-up for Download Festival 2013 has officially been announced. No doubt some bands are much more appealing than others, but all in all it's looking like a great time waiting to happen.

The three headliners are IRON MAIDEN, Rammstein, and Slipknot. And there is plenty of great talent to back them up including Motorhead, Mastodon, Architects, Parkway Drive, Converge, Katatonia, Amon Amarth, The Ghost Inside, Turisas, After The Burial, and The Algorithm among many others.
