OVID'S WITHERING "GROTHIS, THE INSATIABLE" LYRIC VIDEO

Progressive Deathcore champions Ovid's Withering have returned with a vengeance... well sort of. "Grothis, The Insatiable" isn't brand new but this lyric video sure as hell is. And it's probably one of the most appropriate lyric videos I've seen in awhile, providing just a single story behind the band's massive concept. God damn epic \m/

OVID'S WITHERING “GROTHIS, THE INSATIABLE” SINGLE

Beheading The Traitor's latest upload brought us some heaviness from Florida's metal heavyweight Ovid's Withering. The new track, called “Grothis, The Insatiable”, is dark and heavy as to be expected. It's taken form the band's forthcoming EP “Terraphage”. Nt one could explain the concept behind the EP better than the band themselves. Here's their statement:

“The story behind Terraphage (our EP) will be an ongoing tale stemming from our full-length. Basically, it is our concept behind the death of Greek mythology, and the birth of our own mythology.. which will continue on through the next full-length album. We took a big chance releasing something off the EP, because we know its very different from our full-length...but be advised, each song on Terraphage will have a very different feel, reflecting the new Ovidian god that each song represents. Grothis was our first”.

Progressive Deathcore legends to be, Ovid's Withering, just partnered up with our friends at Subliminal Groove records! You may have heard of these guys if you follow the metal underground, but if you haven't it's time to open those ears! The potential these guys have is damn near limitless as they breathe large amounts of creativity into a sub genre practically void of creative forces. They dropped a huge EP earlier this year, "The Cloud Gatherer" and you get to name your own price for it on Bandcamp. It's highly recommend.
