WHITECHAPEL LAUNCHES A NEW LYRIC VIDEO / CONTEST TO WIN A SIGNED ESP GUITAR

Whitechapel is streaming their new lyric video for "Prostatic Fluid Asphyxiation" from the re-mastered version of their debut album "The Somatic Defilement." You can watch the video down below along with more heaviness from the original record.

In addition to watching the lyric video, you can enter to win an ESP guitar signed by the entire band! Enter HERE.

Whitechapel's debut full-length album, "The Somatic Defilement", is the album that firmly planted the band on an upward trajectory that has carried the band to the upper echelons of modern death metal. The band has taken "The Somatic Defilement" and placed it in the capable hands of Audiohammer Studio's producer Mark Lewis for a complete re-mix, along with a re-master by Alan Douches. The results are staggering and give "The Somatic Defilement" a modern luster up to the standards of the band's most recent recordings.

P.S.

Whitechapel's North American tour with GWAR, Iron Reagan, and A Band of Orcs begins next week!

WHITECHAPEL HITS THE STUDIO FOR PREPARATION OF THEIR NEW ALBUM

On August 26th, Whitechapel announced, via their Instagram account, that pre-production of their fifth studio album is underway. The revealing Instagram post, that leaked the news, reports that day one has been dedicated to working on song structures and is then to be followed by drum tracking. The Instagram post can be found here.

Production of this album is being taken care of by Mark Lewis and Audiohammer Studios who have previously worked with other heavy metal bands such as The Contortionist, Holy Grail, The Black Dahlia Murder, Carnifex, Battlecross, etc. One certainty in this collaboration is that with Audiohammer behind the mixer and Whitechapel at the forefront of everything, this album is bound to receive a warm welcome from the masses in the heavy metal community.

WHITECHAPEL VS WESTBORO BAPTIST CHURCH

In the past there have been several confrontations between the metal community and the idiots known as the Westboro Baptist Church. From picketing the funerals of metal idols to making inane criticisms of our lifestyle, they've officially labeled themselves as enemies of metal (aka not a good place to be). In addition, they've labeled themselves as enemies of just about anything good in this world. I could rant but I will not.

Instead I will point you in the direction of the latest conflict between metal and utter religious stupidity. Whitechapel's vocalist Phil Bozeman was pulled into a clash with WBC recently via Attila's Fronz guy. The exchange was deftly covered by the legends at The PRP and is good for a laugh or two. Read up here and headbang below \m/

WHITECHAPEL COMMENTARIES

Whitechapel have been letting their thoughts be known of late. Frontman Phil Bozeman and guitarist Alex Wade have stepped forward respectively on two different topics regarding the music industry and the people who support it.

First up, Phil Bozeman posted this video commentary. Call of Duty included.

A single day later, Alex Wade let loose with this statement.
__________________________________________________________________________________

“It’s insane to me how little of a value most people put on music. They’ll buy a fast food meal for $10 that’s full of shit made by someone who doesn’t give a damn about them and it’s gone in 10 minutes, but won’t spend $10 on a CD that is someone’s artwork takes months to make, and lasts as long as the CD isn’t broken. Just boggles my mind. I love making music but hate being in such a disposable industry.”

“I mean trust me if I could make music for you guys for free I would but I need to feed myself and buy toilet paper to wipe my ass.”

They both make decent points. Some of you may not agree, but there you have it. Either way, headbang to some Whitechapel below \m/
