Hell yeah! It looks like Europe is going to burn in high, hot flames in January when Nuclear Blast's Australian deathcore heavyweights Thy Art Is Murder start their tour in January 2014. They'll be hitting the road with one of the heaviest line-ups we've seen recently... English hardcore masters Heart Of A Coward, the American heaviness that is Aegaeon, and more epic deathcore from down under brought by Aversion Crown.

The short tour will mostly take place in Germany but will also touch Poland, Belgium, and France. If they come near you, definitely don't miss this moshable line up! Dates are on the flyer below.

HEART OF A COWARD “PSYCHOPHANT” MUSIC VIDEO

Heart Of A Coward's new album “Severance” just hit stores on November 4th and it is still ruling the iTunes metal chart. It's not hard to see why as it's guaranteed to be one of the heaviest and most moshable hardcore releases of the year.

They just dropped a new music video in support of this. The chosen song is the groovy “Psychophant” and the video shows you the band playing in a usual dark room and how fast excessive party madness and alcohol abuse can lead you to solitude and misery. Check out the video below and don't forget to purchase this big release if you enjoy!

FREE MUSIC MONDAY - HEART OF A COWARD NEW SINGLE “NAUSEAM”

As we told you a few weeks ago, British groovy hardcore heavyweights Heart Of A Coward are about to release a new album through no one less than Century Media Records. To tease us they released a new groovy and dramatic hardcore song, called "Nauseam", keeping faith in the band's renowned sound. The band insists in its heavy musical research with this new track. It serves as a good preview of this new, promising full-length album. "Severance" will be a monster of a record.

Just a reminder, “Severance” will be out on November 4th and the band is hitting the road for a headlining tour next month.

Please notice: the new, heavy single is available for an unmissable free download. Go grab yours here!

HEART OF A COWARD REVEAL NEW ALBUM DETAILS

After devastating the Tech-Fest main stage in July (trust me, they destroyed everyone), the UK's heaviest hardcore unit Heart Of A Coward is ready to unleash their sophomore album, which seems to be due for release on November 4th via the juggernaut metal label Century Media Records.

The album will be called “Severance” and it will feature guest vocals by Justin Hill (ex-Sikth) on the song “Distance” and by Scott Kennedy (Bleed From Within) on the song “Psychophant”. The band will also be on tour in the UK for their “The Severance Tour” with special guests still to be announced. Time to wait for a new single and get stoked!

UK TECH-METAL FEST LIVE EXPERIENCE TEASER (FREE MUSIC!)

So our Italian team member MATTIA and his videographer have approximately 10 hours of footage to sort through from the 5 days of madness that were this year's UK Tech-Metal Fest. They're working hard to bring you a 1 hour documentary of what went down. Just to keep you on your toes, he put together a rough teaser. Watch and read Mattia's statement for more info below.

And if your Tech Fest cravings aren't satisfied know that our official video and final report are coming soon! In the meantime, read up on Report 1 HERE, Report 2 HERE, Report 3 HERE, and Report 4 HERE. Booyah!
__________________________________________________________________________________

We recently crashed UK Tech-Metal Fest in Peterborough and filmed some amazing footage there including HD live performances, interviews with great bands, some hilarious and even psychedelic stuff happening around during the weekend. We filmed a load of material and we're working hard to bring you a finished live experience as soon as possible.

It will end up being a one-hour documentary showing you how amazing that weekend has been for us and everyone who attended. We filmed so much material that if you were there, you will probably appear in some frames of the final video. In the meantime, we've decided to show you a small, low-quality teaser of what's coming because we just can't wait for you to see what we're working on. The definition of the final video should be way higher but this should give you an idea of what we have here. We hope it can bring you even just a small glimpse of what was the amazing vibe you could feel at Tech-Fest.

The ambient track in the beginning of the video is called “Genghis” produced by an artist called Interlaken. The track is featured on an amazing downtempo/glitch compilation called “Fragm'nts”. It has been released under a Creative Commons License so it can easily be downloaded for free on the psychedelic music portal Ektoplazm.com or at the label's Bandcamp. You need to check that compilation out if you're a fan of this type of music too.

The heavy djenty song is from our old, good French friends in Cycles and it's called “From Fear To Fascination”. This track is available for a "name-your-price" download on Bandcamp as well. Keep your eyes on this band too, since their new EP shall be hitting your eardrums soon. Check out the teaser below and be patient...the full video's coming very soon!

UK TECH-METAL FEST REPORT 4 - SUNDAY JULY 14TH, 2013

Video and final report coming soon! Read up on Report 1 HERE, Report 2 HERE, and Report 3 HERE.

After the hard work of Saturday we were happy to have a relaxing and enjoyable day Sunday, even though we strongly started to feel the need to take a shower.

But as soon as the concerts started we immediately attended the Mask Of Judas performance. We also had an interview scheduled with them in the afternoon. They played songs from their latest mini album “Axis” and I must say I liked their live performance more than their studio material, which I definitely appreciate. After them it was the time for Chronograph's heavy performance on the main stage, followed by Basick Record's and Peterborough's very own Visions, and Monolith Music's Nexilva.

Later on the main stage, one of the funniest moments of the festival took place. Sadly Aliases performance had been cancelled, so the Tech-Fest team decided to replace them with a party. Stiff Bizkit, a Limp Bizkit cover band got on the stage to entertain the attenders for a half hour bouncing set! I was at the press area for my interview at that time so I couldn't attend most of the set, but it featured guests appearances from No Consequence, Linked, and other acts. In any case I recognized songs like “Nookie”, “My Generation”, “Break Stuff”, “Livin It Up” and more. As soon as I realized what was going on, I immediately ran from the press area to the stage to spend my last 15 minutes before the interview there as my friend was preparing the camera... Yes, I must confess I liked Limp Bizkit. They're one of the first "metal" bands I ever got into. And believe it or not, a lot of tech-heads loved that set. There were a lot of people moving, singing and jumping to those songs. It was a good way to slow down and take a funny break from the complicated proggy stuff played at the fest, and in the end everybody knows the lyrics of at least one Limp Bizkit song. You cannot escape.

After that we went back to some fast and furious technical death metal with the UK-based Dyscarnate, delivering one of the most virulent sets of the weekend (we got this on tape too...wait for it, it's coming soon!). After that we moved again to the main stage where we filmed what will be remembered as the most extreme mosh pit of this year's Tech-Fest during Heart Of A Coward's set. The band delivered a massive and devastating performance, confirming they're one of the most interesting hardcore bands to come out of the UK in recent times. They also recently signed a contract with nothing less than Century Media Records!

Shortly after, some quality instrumental music owned Tech-Fest's main stage. First, Basick Record's Chimp Spanner played a heavy and largely attended set, with a big crowd to appreciate the quality of their exhibition.

Immediately after, we saw the “only band not playing 8 strings guitars” as they defined themselves on stage. I'm talking about dutch fusion metal champions Exivious which did a virtuous and flawless exhibition with original and beautiful sounds. Unfortunately, there was just a small crowd to attend their set... The audience was probably tired from the long weekend and decided to take a break and come back for TesseracT performance, but I must say that this was probably the most clean set from a technical and instrumental point of view.

A few minutes before TesseracT's performance, Simon Garrod (Tech-Fest organizer / owner) and James Monteith (TesseracT and HoldTight PR) picked the winners of the contests to win an 8 string Ibanez RG8 and a coustom Double Slit guitar. After that, Simon delivered a small speech asking the crowd to celebrate the success of the festival with a big group hug that was one of the most moving and unforgettable moments of the weekend. Lovely. And TesseracT with the final performance? Well that was an amazing show with an exhausted but enthusiastic crowd enjoying one memorable set from the perfect band to end this festival. It was an intense, moving, and passionate performance to end Tech-Fest in the best way possible.

Yeah, because Tech-Fest, despite the timing troubles, the absence of showers and wi-fi connection, trouble finding power, and all the bands delayed or cancelled, was still the best Festival I have ever been to. And if I had to choose between finally sleeping in a bed and taking a shower the following night or sleeping for 3 more days on the grass, smelling like dirt, I would have definitely chose another Tech-Fest! If you missed this epic event, you better not make the same mistake next year. Be there!

HEART OF A COWARD "SUFFERGRAMS"

British based Heart of a Coward are using internet trends to their advantage and it's actually kind of funny. Their song "Shade" features a skull cracking break where the vocalist simply yells "Suffer.... Bitch!" Someone, somewhere came up with the idea to add this as a soundtrack to brutal/funny videos and the band is now encouraging the trend hardcore with success. We have a couple "suffergrams" for you to chuckle at below along with the video for the song which inspired them. The bands has plenty more suffergrams to be found on their Facebook.
